Academic Year Undergraduate Internships

The LCAC invites undergraduate students to apply for part-time internships during the academic year.

Interns work closely with LCAC staff members. Tasks that interns may perform include:

  • assisting in the investigation of the facts and circumstances of offenses;

  • obtaining and analyzing documentary evidence relating to clients’ life histories;

  • collecting data and completing research that inform the LCAC’s litigation;

  • helping prepare for court proceedings.

Applicants should send a cover letter, resume, and list of two references to Linda Cortez, at lcortez@thejusticecenter.org, with the subject line “Academic Year Undergraduate Intern Application.” In their cover letter, applicants should state the number of hours per week and the dates they are available to work at the LCAC.

This position is unfunded, but the LCAC pays for any business-related travel expenses. Applicants may seek academic credit from their colleges.
